A Viking ship made from ice-cream sticks set sail for England from the Netherlands on Tuesday.
The 15-metre (50-foot) long ship, named after the Norse god Thor, is made from 15 million recycled ice-cream sticks glued together by U.S.-born stuntman Robert McDonald, his son and more than 5,000 children.
"If you can dream it you can do it ... I want to teach children that anything is possible," McDonald said.
Badly injured as a child in a gas explosion that killed the rest of his family, he has loaded his ship with cuddly toys and plans to reach London and visit children in hospitals.

ところがここで、日本側のあるメディアのジャーナリストから意外な報告があった。
餃子事件の発生後、天洋食品などにこのメディアは50人の記者を派遣して徹底取材をしたのだがなかなか実態がつかめなかった。だが、彼らはその取材過程の中で、日中の捜査当局にも接触していた。そこで、中国側の28日の捜査当局の発表は突然ではないということがわかったという。捜査協力といいながら、実は日本側の捜査当局は中国側の捜査当局とずっと対立していたというのだ。
例えば、中国が日本側に対して、捜査のために事件を起こした餃子の1つを貸してほしいと依頼されたが、日本側は断った。日本は、農薬が混入したのは中国だと決め付け、その混入経緯を捜査しようとしており、一方、中国側も混入したのは日本だという前提で、その結論ありきでプロセスのみを捜査しようとしていた。
2月28日の中国側の発表の前から、日中間は話し合いではなく激しく対立しており、もの別れ状態だったのだ。従って、これは必ずしも中国が唐突的に反日的な発表をしたわけではないのだという。
確かに、仲たがいでもしなければ、それまで詰めて話し合ってきたものを突然壊して、中国側が独断で発表を行うはずがない。しかし、日中の捜査当局の間で対立していたことは、取材で明らかになっていたわけだが、日本の新聞などではあまり大きく取り上げられなかったのだ。

この議論の中で最も対立したのが、やはり報道に対する価値観の違いだ。
中国側は、究極の報道の目的は「国益のためになる報道をすることだ」と主張している。これに対して、日本側は、「国益と国民の利益は全く違う」という考え方だ。
第2次世界大戦の時、日本政府は「国益のためになる」と言って、満州事変、日中戦争、太平洋戦を行った。それによって国民はものすごく大きな被害を受け、犠牲になった。これを体験しているので、日本人は国益と国家というものに対して非常にナーバスになっている。「報道の目的が国益なんてとんでもない。報道は国益になろうがなるまいが事実を報道するものだ」と、日本側は主張した。
これに対して中国側は、「中国は戦後独立したわけで、中国の人々はみな、国益＝国民益だと非常に素直に考えている。日本と違って国益に対する疑惑や疑問、不信感はないのだ」と述べた。そこはある意味そうなのかもしれない。
日本側は「それは違う。あの文化大革命は何だったのか」と返した。

備忘録: なぜ日本のコンテンポラリーダンスはchildishであるのか
先週の音楽の歴史の授業の中で、先生が、なぜPost-modern music(おそらく名称としてのPost modernであり、Post modernismとしての音楽とは異なると考えるべきだろう)としてスティーヴ・ライヒなどが出てきたかを簡単に説明してくれた。つまり20世紀初頭にある現代音楽-modern musicが難解すぎてpublicにとってしごくboringであったということ、言い換えれば現代音楽はpublicに向かい合っていなかったということなのだ。
日本の多くのコンテンポラリーダンスがcriticismを欠いてchildishであるのも、これは同じことなのではないか。
日本の多くのアーティストも、またオーガナイザーも、publicに大して非常にネガティヴである。多くがやっているのは、自分たちの価値観の押しつけ。「これは面白いからあなたもみた方がいい」という論理でものごとがまわっていて、"どうやって"問題意識を伝えていくのか芸術的かつ社会的なアプローチへの意識が不足している。結果として、publicにとって「好きな人たちが集まってやっていること」になってしまう。いかに文化政策に従事する人々が政治的取り組みを続けたとしても、この点が変わらなければ社会的理解を得ることは難しく、時を経るにつれ助成金の削減など分かりやすい形でリアクションがあらわれるだろう/現時点でもあらわれはじめている。
Ultima Vezがベルギーの多くの若者にとってあこがれの存在であるという話を聞いたが、日本の状況がそこからいかに遠いかである。(Ultima VezのDVD Boxが発売されたら皆が買いに走ったそうな)
猥雑な表現ではあるが、マスターベーションをやめてセックスをしなければならない。引きこもって「でも私たちは頑張ってこんなにすごいことをしているんです」とぶつぶつつぶやく代わりに、家の外に出て誰かと一緒にコーヒーでものみにいくべきだ。
申し訳ないが日本で隔年開かれている大きなコンペにまるで新鮮味がなく、同じアーティストが何度もノミネートされているのをみると、悲しい気分になってくる。

Communist Party leaders had hoped to use this Olympic moment to showcase how China has become a modern and nonthreatening emerging world power. President Hu Jintao has advocated a "harmonious society" as a catchphrase to signal a new government emphasis on addressing inequality in society. At the same time, China's soft power abroad is rising with its bulging foreign exchange reserves, its aid programs to poor countries and its increasingly active diplomatic role on issues like the North Korea nuclear crisis.
But the Tibet crisis has revealed a leadership that has seemingly stepped back into its harsher past. Buddhist monks in Tibet are now being subjected to punitive "patriotic education" campaigns. Paramilitary police officers and soldiers have swept across huge areas of western China in a crackdown that is under way, if unseen. Party leaders, including Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, have vilified the Dalai Lama and blamed a "Dalai clique" for orchestrating the protests to sabotage China's Olympic moment.

Scholars often describe nationalism as the state religion in China now that the Communist Party has shrugged off socialist ideology and made economic development the country's priority. Dibyesh Anand, a Tibet specialist, said modern Chinese nationalism can be traced to Sun Yat-sen, the Chinese revolutionary who described the country's main ethnic groups - the Han, Manchu, Hui, Mongolian and Tibetan peoples - as the "five fingers" of China.
Today, Han Chinese constitute more than 92 percent of the population, but without one of those five fingers, China's leaders do not consider the country whole.
"The Communist Party has used nationalism as an ideology to keep China together," said Anand, a reader in international relations at Westminster University in London. He said many Chinese regard the Tibetan protests "as an attack on their core identity."

日本政府は、ネグリ氏の来日直前、ビザ申請に加え、入管法上の「特別上陸許可」を出すために、過去に受けた有罪判決が、政治犯罪によるものだとする証拠を書類で示すよう要求。ネグリ氏側は時間的に無理として来日を断念した。
声明文は、ネグリ氏が政治犯であることはすでに国際的に承認され、釈放後の４年半にネグリ氏が訪れた２２カ国では今回のような書類提出を求められていないとし、来日中止で「思想的・学問的交流の機会を奪われ」「思想信条・学問の自由が侵された」と抗議。速やかに特別上陸許可を出すよう求めている。

イースターもおわって今日から学校再開。
いきなり朝の9時からのバレエ。集中力がぜんぜんもたない…。
もともとバレエはそんなに好きではないので、気持ちがそんなにすんなりとは入っていかない。
でも、18才のときに初めてレッスンを受けたときに比べたら、どれだけできるようになっただろう。
僕は基本的に普通の人の3倍の時間をかけて同じことをようやく覚える。でも、だったら逆に3倍やれば同じことができるだろうと、いつもポジティヴにレッスンをうけてきた。(バレエは特にJanette Panettaとの出会いが僕にとっては大きいのだろうけど)
昼からはHisotry of Music、先生には申し訳ないが、速攻で寝そうになる。途中コッソリ抜け出してカフェでコーヒーを急速に流し込んでなんとか切り抜ける。いい先生なのだけど、あまり抑揚のないクラシックをずっと聞いていると自然とまぶたが重くなる。lol
授業の終わりに質問をしようとしたら、皆が一斉にこっちをむいた。もう終わるところなので面倒くさい質問をするなという空気がすぐに伝わってきた:P 先生は僕の質問をずいぶん迂回して答えたので、一瞬「ええ分かっていますけど…」とついつい言いかけるが、こらえる。これは僕のよくない癖だと最近気づいた。「先生」として「教育者」として気遣ってくれているからこそ、しばしば冗長な返事がかえってくる、でもそれはその人の優しさであるのだから、一瞬イラッとしてもまずそのストラクチャーを受け取らなくちゃいけない…大人にならないといけないよなぁ:D
スーパーや郵便局の人や、近所の人と話すとき、少しずつポルトガル語が分かってきた/通じるようになってきた。嬉しいし、何より安心に思える。ともかくポルトガル人の人たちは優しい…これまで僕がまわってきたほかの西側ヨーロッパの人たちとはちょっと違う。ここには気遣いとコミュニケーションのリアリティーがいきている。

The news wires also report that the current riots may have some expensive consequences. The Chinese authorities are re-thinking the idea of allowing the American news networks to broadcast live from Tiananmen Square during the Olympic games this August. The networks apparently paid hundreds of millions of dollars for the privilege.
In other news, the Dalai Lama, it seems, also shares a pet peeve with reporters that all other leaders do. The Dalai Lama issued a terse press release today that said: " ... He also reminded the Media not to quote him out of context."

チベット人女性の一人は、暴動の一報が日本に届くと何度も故郷に国際電話を掛け、１７日朝、ようやく７０代の母と話ができた。しかし母が地元で死者が出ていることを告げ、悲しい、悲しいと繰り返すうち、電話は切れた。声を聞けたのは一瞬だった。

イースターで、今週は学校が休み。学校の内外で、いろいろと忙しかったので、さすがに疲れもたまっていて、先週は風邪もひいた。
本当にいいタイミングでの休暇。
料理をしたり、洗濯したり、掃除したり、繕い物をしたり、なんでもないことを時間を気にせずにできる。でもそれが大きなエネルギーになる。
なかなか書けなかった友人・知人へのメールも少しずつ書く。
筆無精もよくないが、ぞんざいな文章も書きたくない…。
ひとやすみ、ひとこきゅう。

Julyen Hamilton's classes ended last week
Last week, finally we finished 2 weeks Julyen Hamilton's classes. It was quite nice opportunity to know the person in those generation, and way of very sensitive/open physical improvisation style. In addition, in the class, I got the way to focus my "center/joint" as the core of movements. I started to use off-balanced movements more comfortably.
Although, to be honest, these 2 weeks had been totally making me frustrated. Because, Julyen did not give us our space. He just pushed his idea always. It was very clear that, if we said opposite idea from him in the discussion, he must deny or ignore that. Of course I can understand that is because of his experience and this kind of attitude often appears when we get old. But anyway (even I understand logically) I could not feel well, and not easy to stand to stay in the class sometime...

He was born in England, then lived in Amsterdam and now is based in Girona, Spain.
In 1984 he was awarded the 'Zilveren Dansprijs' by the VSCD in Holland.
Trained in a period of experimentation in London in the mid-70s , he has constantly made work from a radical point of view.
His work, both in company and solo, develops dance for the theatre
where dancers and light designer are directed to compose pieces instantly,
a process of practising improvisation in rehearsal and in the moment of performance.
Hamilton creates his own personal language where movement and text constantly intertwine
and are passed amongst the performers as a way of manifesting the sharing of the imagination.
He is also invited to play with musicians, to choreograph for other dancers and to collaborate with other directors.
Since 1990 he has made more than 100 solos which have been seen all over the world. They are a highly original interplay between dance, live text and light. His latest solo Cell premiered in Barcelona on 2004.
His teaching work comes straight from the stage experience; it goes deeply into the compositional aspects of creativity through the areas of the physical body, space, time, dramaturgy and voice.
His label Blue Dog DVDs produces videos of his performances on dvd.

ようやく「家」になる
昨日友達がついに部屋を引き払って出て行った。
彼女と二人で放浪の旅へ。
これからこの家は僕とベルギー人の友達Jとシェアする。
ようやく僕らの家になったものの、友人との別れはやっぱりちょっと寂しい。
ともあれ、今まで僕が暮らした中でもっとも広く、快適な家。
一ヶ月経ってようやく、こちらでの当たり前の生活が始まろうとしている。
静かな興奮と、ホッと一息、ひそかな疲れ。

リスボンの街を歩く。
Gracaは、カステロ(古城)の周りの古い地域で、観光地である。観光客がいっぱい。
でも、ここを走る28番線トラムの終着地、Martin Moniz(中心街の中では特に治安が悪い)は中国人・アフリカ人街である。
光と影があるとか、パースペクティヴを与えるとか、すり切れた表現もすぐに浮かんでくるが、まるで典型的なポルトガルの小道を、伝統衣装に身を包んでウキウキと歩くアフリカ人女性たちの美しさとたくましさは、もっと新鮮な風を運んでくれる。

空白の2年間
2年間という長い旅。僕にとって2006年/2007年は、空白、まだ何とも表すことの出来ない時間だ。
始まりは、ただともかく、自分が立っているその場所に大きな違和感を感じて、どうにかそこから抜け出そうと必死だった。
あのまま、中途半端に周りと折り合いをつけながら、いつか一定の評価がくるのを待っているだけなんて、とてもとてもやりきれなかった。
danceWEBに選ばれたことは奇跡だった。
でもその奇跡を、一瞬の輝きにすませたくなかった。
一週間に4日か5日はPubの仕事で、バーに立ちながらもお客がいないときは必死に英語の勉強をしていた。
忙しい合間をぬって、バレエもモダンもコンテもレッスンを受けた。
朝の仕事も掛け持ちし始めたころ、頭痛がやまなくなった。
ペイン・キラーをのみながら、勉強して、お金をためた。
つらかった。でも、全部役に立った。
ウィーンについて、それでも初日から英語はさっぱりで、始めはただ皆のおしりをおっかけてばかりだった。
同じようにアジアから来ているダンサーの中には、あきらめてフェスティバルにきている同じ国の子とずっとしゃべっている人もいた。
でも僕はそれが嫌だった。辞書をひきながら、友達に折にふれて分からない言葉を尋ねては、なんとか少しずつ皆の話を理解しようとした。
もちろん何もかも怖かった。でもなんとかなると信じた。
いい友達がたくさん出来て、まるで何の予定もなかったその後のヨーロッパ放浪の旅はなんとか友人の家から家へ、進むことが出来た。
必死に書いたアプリケーションはポーランドにまでつれていってくれた。
いろんなものをみた。聞いた。知った。僕なりに分かった。
けれども、いつも、それは、現実逃避の心持ちを拭えなかった。
今いる場所から自分の高い理想に歩みをすすめるなら、普通の歩き方ではとどかない。
無理をして、苦しんで、分からなくなって、傷ついて、でももちろん誰も悩みに答えを与えてくれる訳ではなく。
乗り越えるには、現実をからの中にくるんで、そばにおきつつ見るほかなかった。
だから、この2年間はまるで空白だった。
今少しずつ、自分のまわりを落ち着いてみれるようになってきた。
つらいとき、くるしいときに無理をしなくてもいいようになってきた。
無理をしなくてもいいという、余裕を少しずつ持てるようになってきた。
すぐに以前のようには戻れないけど、本当に少しずつ。
2007年の夏、フランス。帰りの切符はあったけど、どうしてもどうしても帰りたくなかった。
皆の前で、泣きながら、しゃべっていた。「このまま日本に戻ったらもうヨーロッパに戻って来れなくなるかもしれない」
もうボロボロになっていた僕を、それでもたくさんの友達が、支えてくれた。
Forum Dancaにうかりながら、パリでどうにもならなくなって、本当に生きるか死ぬかという心持ちになっていたとき、友人はいってくれた。
「あなたは2年間をヨーロッパを旅して、いろんな成果を残したでしょう。それは誰にも出来ることじゃないんだよ。あなたにはそれだけの強さがあるんだよ。」
その言葉が思いとどまらせた。自分を失わずにすんだ。
これからもきっと楽じゃない。でも、少しずつ、少しずつ、目の前にあることと向き合っていく。

3週間がたちました
3週間がたった。
ポルトガル。あたたかい国。
学生の頃、京都で、よくいく定食屋があった。
叡電、元田中のそば、恵文社のはすむかいに、王将の元田中店があった。
とにかく安くて、バイトで給料が入った後など、おなかいっぱいになりたいとき友達と誘っていった。
汚くて、かざりけも何もないけど、いつも若い学生であふれていて、おかみさんがよく店のなかにドカッと座っていた。
色気も何もない、でも何の気取りもない、あたたかな場だった。
引っ越して、1,2年してたずねたら、店はつぶれてこぎれいな花屋になっていた。
ポルトガルのパステレイラやカフェに入ると、あの店のことを思い出す。
ずっと変わっていないのだろう、素朴なパンと料理の数々。
溢れる人々の会話。あたたかなお店のお父さんやお母さん、お兄さんお姉さんの笑顔。
道を歩いていたり、メトロに乗っていると、いろんな人に声をかけられる。
相手が東洋人であることなんて気にせず、屈託なくしゃべり始めるポルトガル人には圧倒させられる。
ポルトガル語がまだまだな僕は、ニヤニヤするしかないのだけど。
思えばまだ僕が小学生や中学生のころは、道で人に話しかけるのをためらうなんてあまりなかった。
道に迷えば、誰かに聞けば、なんとか家に帰り着けた。
東京で、駆け足で抜けていく人の海に飲まれていると、言葉が詰まって何も言えなくなる。
街から何か大事なものがストンと抜け落ちてしまったのか、僕にとって日本はいつのまにか居心地が悪くなってしまった。
ポルトガル、このイベリア半島のはじっこ、大きな深呼吸。

Forum Dança, where I am studying
Forum Dança, where I am studying, is most well-known contemporary dance institution in Portugal. They have been acting very important roll to produce a lot of great works and educate people. First I knew their name in the Vera Montero's past productions. A lot of her production is supported by Forum Dança.

Forum Dança is a non profitable cultural association, created in 1990, and whose purpose is to promote both artistic and professional development, investigation, editing and documentation.
In the field of vocational training, Forum Dança conceived and organized, since 1991, Professional Development Courses. There were 22 of these Courses which were held in Lisbon, Oporto, Torres Vedras and in the Algarve, namely: Dance Monitors for the Community, Contemporary Dance Interpreters, Dance Management/Production, Performing Arts Management/Production, Dance Monitors’ Recycling Course, Choreographic Research and Creation, Dance Techniques for the Community, Dance in the Community.
Forum Dança is a bridge between the professionals and the audience. It develops pedagogical projects, seminars, workshops and regular classes, aiming both professionals and amateurs, both adults and young people.
It also provides artistic guidance and is equipped with a documentation centre specialized in dance, with about 550 works in different artistic and technical areas, magazines and dance catalogs, and also an image archive.
Forum Dança has worked with both national and international organizations spread throughout the world.

quality of time
finally I arrived Lisboa and started to participate PEPCC in ForumDanca today.
Ok this is formation, school, is not the same as kind of "projects".
But I mean, I had little surprised inside of quality of time.
Nobody rushed. Taking time to understand the class, communication, developing the relationship with other students.
Everything goes slowly based on no obesession.
This is what I have been missing last 2 years.... Always I had a pressure to do something. I had to make it, I had to finish it, even sometime it does not make any certain result.
Beautiful country Portugal, just I am so glad to be here and breath.

ついに、ポルトガルForum Dancaへ
東京から横浜に、東海道線の中でくるりを聴きながら、涙ぐんだ。もう言葉にならない感情だった。
うれしいという気持ちとは違った。今日になってみれば、ホッとしたという感じの方がいいのかもしれない。言葉もろくにしゃべれない、土地の習慣だってよく知ってるわけでもない、でもポルトガルに行くことが、「行く」というより「帰る」という気持ちになれる。思えば日本に帰ってこの一ヶ月、どこにいたって違和感を感じて、いちいち小さなことにストレスがたまった。
ポルトガルのビザがついにおりた。2年間のForum Dancaでの研修。日本では全く知られないポルトガルのコンテンポラリーダンスであるが、その特異性とセンスのよさは、飽和状態でダメ・アーティストがあふれかえっているフレンチ・コンテンポラリーダンスより僕にとってずっと興味深い(もちろんフレンチ・アーティストにはマチルダ・モニエなど偉大なアーティストも大勢いる)。Forum Dancaはそのポルトガル・コンテンポラリーダンスを生み出し、発展させてきた、最も重要な文化機関である。Forum Dancaで学ぶということは、いわば、ポルトガル・コンテンポラリーダンスの懐にとびこむといってもいい。
「学ぶ」ことに必死にならずとも、そこで学べることは山とあるだろう。ただただ楽しい時間を送りたい。何せここにたどりつくまでなんと2年間も家ももたず放浪したのだから…。

これが最後まで時間がかかりました。重要なことは、ポルトガル現地である住所に住むことが明示されていること。
友人などによる私文書の場合は、ノータリーによるサイン証明のスタンプが必須(本国の政府機関などでは省略することもあるそうですが、今のところ在日大使館では必須です)。

ただし、こういう行政関係は何でもそうですが、もちろん自分の主張ははっきり伝えること。個人は弱く、泣き寝入りしがちですが、自分が当然の主張を行っていると考えるならば、(怒りだす代わりに)冷静に明快に堂々と相手に伝えるべきです。Be confident.
私のように研修の際は、現地の文化機関ともよく連絡をとること。問題があった場合は(ビジネスの基本に倣って)すぐに連絡をとること。多少言葉に不便があっても、繰り返し落ち着いて説明すれば必ず伝わります。何もない場合もupdateを欠かさない。個人に対してinstitutionはいろんな意味で力があるので、必要なときにそれに頼るのは全く悪いことではない。
うれしいという気持ちとは違った。今日になってみれば、ホッとしたという感じの方がいいのかもしれない。言葉もろくにしゃべれない、土地の習慣だってよく知ってるわけでもない、でもポルトガルに行くことが、「行く」というより「帰る」という気持ちになれる。思えば日本に帰ってこの一ヶ月、どこにいたって違和感を感じて、いちいち小さなことにストレスがたまった。
ポルトガルのビザがついにおりた。2年間のForum Dancaでの研修。日本では全く知られないポルトガルのコンテンポラリーダンスであるが、その特異性とセンスのよさは、飽和状態でダメ・アーティストがあふれかえっているフレンチ・コンテンポラリーダンスより僕にとってずっと興味深い(もちろんフレンチ・アーティストにはマチルダ・モニエなど偉大なアーティストも大勢いる)。Forum Dancaはそのポルトガル・コンテンポラリーダンスを生み出し、発展させてきた、最も重要な文化機関である。Forum Dancaで学ぶということは、いわば、ポルトガル・コンテンポラリーダンスの懐にとびこむといってもいい。
「学ぶ」ことに必死にならずとも、そこで学べることは山とあるだろう。ただただ楽しい時間を送りたい。何せここにたどりつくまでなんと2年間も家ももたず放浪したのだから…。

友人などによる私文書の場合は、ノータリーによるサイン証明のスタンプが必須(本国の政府機関などでは省略することもあるそうですが、今のところ在日大使館では必須です)。

what's going on me
As some of you may know, I have been selected in the dance formation, called PEPCC, in ForumDanca in Lisbon. Actually the course already started from 7th Jan. but because my visa has not issued yet, I still be in Japan and waiting for its process (precisely, I just missed one paper for that...). Anyway after obtaining the visa, I will be in Lisbon and studying there for 2 years.
Now I am also editing the dvd of "one dance/one video/one day" projects as same as I updated on YouTube. First I thought this project as suitable for the internet, but some of my friends is much more easy to watch on TV or computer with DVD, and DVD is useful when I use this as material to apply some kind of programme.
I am also working for some other projects for this and next year. As usual it is, some of projects would be realized but othres might be not. Anyway. One thing probably happen is attending the Sweet and Tender annual meeting 2008. This precious group project is now growing more. I am very exited to contribute and participate this again.

「タッセイリツ」「カンリ」「シギョウ」……。日本で最も多い約２万人ものブラジル人が暮らす浜松市で、現場の作業に必要な日本語を集めた実践的なテキスト作りが進められている。市販のテキストは文法中心で現場ではすぐに役立たないという声に応え、浜松国際交流協会などが取り組みを始めた。作業現場での日本語の頻度に基づいて編集する予定で、来年度中の完成を目指す。

Just before midnight, an unmarked Salvation Army van pulled up to the curb outside Euston Station and a trickle of tattered men and women edged cautiously from the shadows around the railroad terminal, hunched against the biting winter air.
There were, in all, about 30 of them, many wrapped in blankets. Most were young, in their early 20's, a few smelling sharply of alcohol.
As they formed a ragged line to collect their ration of sandwiches and soup and steaming tea, one man, a mute, leaned into a Salvation Army volunteer, his eyes wide as his hands chopped the air in a frenzy of sign language, trying to make himself understood. A bearded companion intervened, explaining that his friend's sleeping bag had been stolen. Could he have some blankets to help him make it through the night?
He was given blankets, plus a chit that entitled him to collect a free sleeping bag the next day from a Salvation Army warehouse.
The young, the infirm, the mentally ill, the alcoholic, the immigrant -- they are among the faces of a growing population of homeless people who are increasingly visible these days not only on the streets of London, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid and Rome but also in smaller cities across Europe.
"One of the biggest changes are the numbers of young people, not just in London but in small towns too, in Basingstoke and Eastbourne, Croydon and Hastings on the coast," said Maj. Robert McClenahan, a Salvation Army officer who regularly makes the midnight soup runs around the capital. 'I Am Hungry. Please Help Me.'
Sue, a woman in her early 20's who begs for handouts in the London underground, often holds a small sign that reads: "I am hungry. Please help me."
"I don't want to do this, but I don't want to go home either," she said, explaining that she could not find steady work after leaving home four months ago because she did not get along with her parents. "At least I have some friends now, and we all look after one another."
But many other homeless people, particularly the older men, gave up long ago, and now refuse offers of assistance. One of them is John, a thickly bearded, scruffy man of indeterminate age who has survived for years beside a subway entrance along the Thames, not far from the posh Savoy Hotel. His legs are badly infected, but he refuses medical attention.
"I worry about the cold and winter, but I'll get by," John said as he adjusted a plastic bag around him and settled against a wall. "Don't worry about me."
In Paris, Panayotis Xirias, who is 46 years old, said he had spent 24 years on the streets. "I won't sleep or eat in any of the shelters," he said flatly. The small monthly Government subsidy he receives he uses to bet on the horses. "If I win, I will treat myself to a night in a hotel." Otherwise, home is a sleeping bag over a ventilation grill.
Homelessness in Europe does not appear to have reached the grim proportions familiar to New York, Washington and many other American cities. But the romanticized image of the clochard, the footloose European vagabond, has been supplanted by a more Dickensian scene, of thousands of people -- many of them sick, some of them immigrants, most of them without work or hope -- who sleep in doorways, parks, underground parking garages or cramped shelters in which whole families must share a single room. Accurate Numbers Elusive
Still, as in the United States, the precise scale of homelessness in Europe is difficult to judge, and numbers and impressions vary widely.
In London, the Salvation Army estimates that there are as many as 2,000 people sleeping on the streets on any one night -- more than double the Government's tally. The Salvation Army says that is about the same number that charity workers counted in 1904, when the population of London was only slightly smaller than it is now, or about 6.8 million.
In addition, the Salvation Army counts 18,000 single people in hostels and shelters run by churches or charity organizations and 30,000 illegal squatters in London alone. They also estimate that 25,000 people, including 8,000 children, have been placed in Government-subsidized bed-and-breakfast hotels because there is no space for them in public housing. In New York City, by comparison, the Coalition for the Homeless, an advocacy group, estimates that of 7.3 million residents, about 67,000 live on the streets or as illegal squatters each night, and 23,000 others, most of them families, seek refuge in city-run shelters.
In Paris, the Salvation Army estimates the homeless population at 15,000 to 20,000 homeless, including those in shelters, or just under 1 percent of the central city's population of 2.2 million.
Madrid, with a population of 3.5 million, has an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 homeless people, most of them sleeping on the street.
Catholic charities in Rome count about 6,500 street homeless among the city's 2.8 million people.
In Berlin, where more than 7,400 people have officially registered with neighborhood centers because they require help in finding bed and board, officials say homelessness in not a major problem in a population of about 3 million. But health officials add that the number could be three times as high if large families in inadequate housing are counted. And, according to the officials, the majority of the chronic homeless are German, many of them suffering from drug or alcohol addiction.
Much of the problem of homelessness is a result of not only the sharp decline in the stock of low-cost rental housing in many European capitals but also of the consequences of a weak global economy that has exacted a steep toll in both jobs and lost income.
According to some experts, though, the growing number of poor and mentally ill on European streets is also a measure of another phenomenom: a slow but gradual deterioration in the historically strong web of family, church and government support systems that have traditionally afforded the poor and the vulnerable in Europe a much wider safety net.
While officials in Italy say a strong sense of church and family makes homelessness less a problem there than in the United States, they are troubled by a sharp increase in the number of young people under the age of 18 seeking meals and beds at church missions.
"It is a bad sign indicating the strength of the Italian family is beginning to wane," said Francesca Zuccari, a volunteer worker who wrote a booklet for the homeless in Italy titled "Where to Eat, to Sleep, to Wash," distributed from the St. Egidio Community Center in Trastevere. Government Aid Cut
Church and private relief agencies argue they are being forced to carry more and more of the burden as governments cut back on social welfare and housing programs and as growing numbers of illegal immigrants are drawn to Western Europe in search of a better life.
Government officials in France, Britain and elsewhere argue they have increased spending on programs for the homeless. The British Government has set aside more than $186 million for the next three years to build new shelter and housing for homeless, and the French are spending about $37 million a year on similar social services.
In Rome, the city government provides about $4.3 million annually, or about 40 percent of the cost to Catholic charities of providing twice-daily meals and changes of clothing for the city's poor and homeless.
Still, voluntary relief agencies complain that reductions in longstanding government programs to build low-cost public housing have forced people out in the cold. Mental Asylums Closed
Shelter, a British organization that campaigns for homeless people, says annual Government investment in public housing in Britain declined to $2 billion in 1989-90, from about $6.3 billion in 1980-81. Over about the same period, the share of housing units available for rent declined by half and now represents barely 7 percent of the total English housing stock.
And Governments in Italy and Britain have adopted initiatives that have closed scores of Government-run mental asylums, in favor of community-based treatment programs. But as has been the case with similar initiatives in the United States, critics argue that changes in policy have only turned thousands of mental patients out into a world in which they cannot cope.
Jean-Marie Ederer, a director of Emmaus, a French relief agency, said the mentally ill make up a disproportionately high number among homeless people in France. Across Europe, Faces of Homeless Become More Visible and Vexing

Just before midnight, an unmarked Salvation Army van pulled up to the curb outside Euston Station and a trickle of tattered men and women edged cautiously from the shadows around the railroad terminal, hunched against the biting winter air.
There were, in all, about 30 of them, many wrapped in blankets. Most were young, in their early 20's, a few smelling sharply of alcohol.
As they formed a ragged line to collect their ration of sandwiches and soup and steaming tea, one man, a mute, leaned into a Salvation Army volunteer, his eyes wide as his hands chopped the air in a frenzy of sign language, trying to make himself understood. A bearded companion intervened, explaining that his friend's sleeping bag had been stolen. Could he have some blankets to help him make it through the night?
He was given blankets, plus a chit that entitled him to collect a free sleeping bag the next day from a Salvation Army warehouse.
The young, the infirm, the mentally ill, the alcoholic, the immigrant -- they are among the faces of a growing population of homeless people who are increasingly visible these days not only on the streets of London, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid and Rome but also in smaller cities across Europe.
"One of the biggest changes are the numbers of young people, not just in London but in small towns too, in Basingstoke and Eastbourne, Croydon and Hastings on the coast," said Maj. Robert McClenahan, a Salvation Army officer who regularly makes the midnight soup runs around the capital. 'I Am Hungry. Please Help Me.'
Sue, a woman in her early 20's who begs for handouts in the London underground, often holds a small sign that reads: "I am hungry. Please help me."
"I don't want to do this, but I don't want to go home either," she said, explaining that she could not find steady work after leaving home four months ago because she did not get along with her parents. "At least I have some friends now, and we all look after one another."
But many other homeless people, particularly the older men, gave up long ago, and now refuse offers of assistance. One of them is John, a thickly bearded, scruffy man of indeterminate age who has survived for years beside a subway entrance along the Thames, not far from the posh Savoy Hotel. His legs are badly infected, but he refuses medical attention.
"I worry about the cold and winter, but I'll get by," John said as he adjusted a plastic bag around him and settled against a wall. "Don't worry about me."
In Paris, Panayotis Xirias, who is 46 years old, said he had spent 24 years on the streets. "I won't sleep or eat in any of the shelters," he said flatly. The small monthly Government subsidy he receives he uses to bet on the horses. "If I win, I will treat myself to a night in a hotel." Otherwise, home is a sleeping bag over a ventilation grill.
Homelessness in Europe does not appear to have reached the grim proportions familiar to New York, Washington and many other American cities. But the romanticized image of the clochard, the footloose European vagabond, has been supplanted by a more Dickensian scene, of thousands of people -- many of them sick, some of them immigrants, most of them without work or hope -- who sleep in doorways, parks, underground parking garages or cramped shelters in which whole families must share a single room. Accurate Numbers Elusive
Still, as in the United States, the precise scale of homelessness in Europe is difficult to judge, and numbers and impressions vary widely.
In London, the Salvation Army estimates that there are as many as 2,000 people sleeping on the streets on any one night -- more than double the Government's tally. The Salvation Army says that is about the same number that charity workers counted in 1904, when the population of London was only slightly smaller than it is now, or about 6.8 million.
In addition, the Salvation Army counts 18,000 single people in hostels and shelters run by churches or charity organizations and 30,000 illegal squatters in London alone. They also estimate that 25,000 people, including 8,000 children, have been placed in Government-subsidized bed-and-breakfast hotels because there is no space for them in public housing. In New York City, by comparison, the Coalition for the Homeless, an advocacy group, estimates that of 7.3 million residents, about 67,000 live on the streets or as illegal squatters each night, and 23,000 others, most of them families, seek refuge in city-run shelters.
In Paris, the Salvation Army estimates the homeless population at 15,000 to 20,000 homeless, including those in shelters, or just under 1 percent of the central city's population of 2.2 million.
Madrid, with a population of 3.5 million, has an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 homeless people, most of them sleeping on the street.
Catholic charities in Rome count about 6,500 street homeless among the city's 2.8 million people.
In Berlin, where more than 7,400 people have officially registered with neighborhood centers because they require help in finding bed and board, officials say homelessness in not a major problem in a population of about 3 million. But health officials add that the number could be three times as high if large families in inadequate housing are counted. And, according to the officials, the majority of the chronic homeless are German, many of them suffering from drug or alcohol addiction.
Much of the problem of homelessness is a result of not only the sharp decline in the stock of low-cost rental housing in many European capitals but also of the consequences of a weak global economy that has exacted a steep toll in both jobs and lost income.
According to some experts, though, the growing number of poor and mentally ill on European streets is also a measure of another phenomenom: a slow but gradual deterioration in the historically strong web of family, church and government support systems that have traditionally afforded the poor and the vulnerable in Europe a much wider safety net.
While officials in Italy say a strong sense of church and family makes homelessness less a problem there than in the United States, they are troubled by a sharp increase in the number of young people under the age of 18 seeking meals and beds at church missions.
"It is a bad sign indicating the strength of the Italian family is beginning to wane," said Francesca Zuccari, a volunteer worker who wrote a booklet for the homeless in Italy titled "Where to Eat, to Sleep, to Wash," distributed from the St. Egidio Community Center in Trastevere. Government Aid Cut
Church and private relief agencies argue they are being forced to carry more and more of the burden as governments cut back on social welfare and housing programs and as growing numbers of illegal immigrants are drawn to Western Europe in search of a better life.
Government officials in France, Britain and elsewhere argue they have increased spending on programs for the homeless. The British Government has set aside more than $186 million for the next three years to build new shelter and housing for homeless, and the French are spending about $37 million a year on similar social services.
In Rome, the city government provides about $4.3 million annually, or about 40 percent of the cost to Catholic charities of providing twice-daily meals and changes of clothing for the city's poor and homeless.
Still, voluntary relief agencies complain that reductions in longstanding government programs to build low-cost public housing have forced people out in the cold. Mental Asylums Closed
Shelter, a British organization that campaigns for homeless people, says annual Government investment in public housing in Britain declined to $2 billion in 1989-90, from about $6.3 billion in 1980-81. Over about the same period, the share of housing units available for rent declined by half and now represents barely 7 percent of the total English housing stock.
And Governments in Italy and Britain have adopted initiatives that have closed scores of Government-run mental asylums, in favor of community-based treatment programs. But as has been the case with similar initiatives in the United States, critics argue that changes in policy have only turned thousands of mental patients out into a world in which they cannot cope.

busy days, doesnt make any money (or reducing...)
this week is quite crazy. monday i finished one application for the
coaching program, today finished also one application to the
residency, and monday is the deadline of the application of the
school. i am bit tensed and stressed up, because i am somehow busy but
cannot make any money with those works or even reduce (how expensive
the cost of post!!)....
i started to study portuguese with the guy has wish to study japanese,
so like as language exchange, but i can not concentrate so much, its
also sad. i want to be more tough and smart someday....

again, my laptop is almost dead

the reed switch. it costs 10-20 dollars. But I am not sure I can get

アプリケーションのために過去の資料を整理してたら、大学時代のレポートが色々でてきた。これもその一つ。

今、”ダンス”と”演劇”は互いに近付いている。身体を用いて表現をするというただ１つの共通点を軸に、役者が”ダンス”について、ダンサーが”演劇”について学んだり、或いは演出に相互の影響を見ることが出来る。一般的な解釈を考えるならば、”演劇”は言語表現を、”ダンス”は身体によるムーヴメントを軸として展開するものと認識されているだろう。しかし、例えばピナ・バウシュが、ヴッパタールで発表した作品群やダムタイプのパフォーマンスはそこには収まらない衝撃を与えてきたことは記憶に新しい。ただそれは全て２０世紀の出来事である（別にキリスト教に傾斜することはないが）。今次の１００年へと入った中で僕等はそこから先について考えていかねばならないだろう。
２１世紀の最も重要なモチーフはパーソナリティーだろう。それは高度情報化社会の実現によるものに他ならない。ＴＶなどのマスメディアの普及やコンビニ等の地方への急激な進出、インターネット網の爆発的な拡大、そして何より、携帯（個人）端末の獲得。今までは隠されていた、あるいは口伝えにあった情報が、ダイレクトに個人へと流れてくる時代。それは、今まで当然とあると思っていた”性”だとか、”家族”、”国家”といった思想が揺らぐ時代である。（そして重要なことは、２０世紀と違い、こうした事態が、静かにやってくるということである。）
そんな中、最もリアリティーを持つことが出来るのが自分自身の”身体”である。病気になる、ケガをする、或いは睡眠障害や鬱などの精神的な不調、そうした時、僕等は自らの意にならない身体を直に認識し、それが”ここに在る”ことに気付く。それはデカルトの「我思う故に我有り」といった理性の範囲にある思想より、一層強烈なものだ。
２０世紀、”演劇”と”ダンス”は相互に行き来したが、それはどちらかというと振付家・演出家主導のものであった。斬新な「見せ方」として、他の世界の一部を流入させる。そうすることによって、それぞれの世界に慣れた人々に刺激を提供することが出来た。そのためにダンサーや役者は、互いのメソッドについて知識や経験を交換してきたのだ（演出家や振付家の要求を満たすため）。しかし、恒常的に刺激的な情報が直接個人に訪れる今、こうしたことがインパクトを与えることはもう出来ないだろう。観客を飛び上がらせ、自らを省み、社会・世界を省みさせる（少なくとも僕はこれが芸術の役割であると考えている）には、彼等にとってのリアリティー、それぞれの身体を揺れ動かすものでなくてはならないだろう。
土方巽は”東北”に日本人のアイデンティティーを見出し、これを具現化することで肉体の復興を目指した。しかし、今求めるは”東北”といった彼の地ではなく、今”ここに在る”自らの身体が持つ固有の身体的記憶なのである（それは「日常的な」といった様な形容詞のつく陳腐なものであってはならない）。それは混沌が当然として立ち現れるだろう。”演劇”や”ダンス”のメソッドに収まらないものだけでなく、自らが学んできたあらゆるメソッド（もしかしたら見た・聞いただけの真似さえも）さえも肯定することになるからだ。
こうした身体を演出家、振付家が牽引することは不可能だ。パーソナリティーの開示は、それぞれの歴史の陰部にさえ触れることになるからだ。演出家や振付家が役者やダンサーのそうした部分を蹂躙、懐柔し、意のままにするようなことは出来ない。彼等に出来ることはもはや、観客のためにこうした出来事を少しでも分かり易くナヴィゲートすることだけだ。
ステージの上で必死に自らの記憶を辿っていく人々の姿を見て、観客は気付くだろう。この多様性が自らの身体にもあることを。それは自己の可能性を感ずることだけに留まらない。同時に、自らの隣りに座っているその人もまた、同様の多様性があることを想像できるからだ。つまり、自己のリアリティー（身体）を基点に他者のリアリティーをイメージするという行為が起こるのだ。
９．１１以後、一連のアフガン・イラク等に関連した出来事を見ていて、僕は現代社会においては、「無理解」を前提として生きていかねばならないことが明示的になったと感じている。そのためにはどれだけ他者のことをイメージする事が出来るか。これがお互いを尊重して生きていく唯一の可能性に思えてならない。こうした中で”演劇”や”ダンス”はそうしたジャンルのメソッドを基点とした「見せ方」を軸にするのではなく、役者やダンサーの身体に根差したパフォーマンスこそ、求められていくのだと、僕は考える。

what happens in Burma, and the background
My friend sent me a very good summary of what happens in Burma now and the background of it.

Okay…
Basically peaceful Burmese protesters are being
violently crashed under the military regime of Burma -
one of the worst dictatorship, they say - and they
need an international help to survive and to continue
with their protest for democratic and humanitarian
Burma.
What I wrote are my words, based on what I have read
and seen on various sources on Internet.
Last week, the Burmese military junta put the fuel
price up to 500% higher without any warning or
explanations, which would put up the price of
everything. The Burmese people have already been
suffering from the hardship of living under this
regime that had been uncaring and inhumanitarian. This
triggered a protest and it was soon joined by a
hundreds of Buddist monks. In Burma, they hold the
highest respect from people and they are not easily
involved in political movement. The fact they were in
the street calling for Democracy shows the urgency of
the issue. Burma had a long story with military
dictatorship and struggle for democracy and these
monks were joined by civilians that grew up to 100,000
on the streets in just a few days. Under this regime,
this is not an easy event that can happen. It is the
first big demonstration since 1988, when the
protesters were put down by guns, ending up with
killing of 3,000 people.
The regime has been ruthless and inhumanitarian. They
were supposed to restore election. But when it came to
it, with the leader of Democratic party Aung San Suu
Kyi winning 82% of votes, they claimed the election
invalid and put Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest
for the most of the last 18 years. Aung San Suu Kyi
won a Nobel peace prize in 1991. I personally think
she has the most amazing face, that somehow expresses
her inner strength and clarity - I remember her face
from an exhibition 10 years ago when I didn’t now who
she was. I had thought I would like to age like her.
In the last three days, the military junta has
executed violent crack down on the non-violent
demonstrators with beating, arrest, tear gas, and
killing. They raided many monasteries, have taken away
monks into prisons, and also Aung San Suu Kyi into a
prison. The junta is said to have employed many mobs
to carry out the jobs, not to get international
attentions by moving the military too much. Many have
been injured and 13 are officially declared killed,
but the real figure is expected to be many times
higher. Few days ago, they cut down all the Internet
and mobile phone connections in the country to stop
information going out. You will find many video clips
in Youtube of the first three days of demonstrations,
and much less for the last three days.
Most countries including US and Europe and even other
Southeastern countries have expressed their disgust
and request to stop using violence to peaceful
protesters and to bring more democracy. They are
looking for economic means such as sanctions to give
pressure to the military regime. But what is seen as
the real key to be able to affect the regime
effectively is the neighboring countries, such as
China, India and Russia. China has to the main role
here. China so far only expressed their principle of
not interfering internal affairs of other countries
and did not really say anything to oppose Burmese
junta’s violence on the demonstrators, or the
anti-democratic ruling. They themselves are hardly
democratic in dealing with demonstrators, as you may
still remember the bloodshed in Tien An Mun square in
1990 in Beijing in a very similar situation. The fact
is that they have the biggest economic trade
relationship with Burma. Burmese military government
will have to respond to China's pressure, but China
also will not respond unless it has enough pressure
from the international communities that gives them
enough reasons to do so. All the countries and all the
organizations have come to the same understanding that
we need to move China.

price up to 500% higher without any warning or
explanations, which would put up the price of
everything. The Burmese people have already been
suffering from the hardship of living under this
regime that had been uncaring and inhumanitarian. This
triggered a protest and it was soon joined by a
hundreds of Buddist monks. In Burma, they hold the
highest respect from people and they are not easily
involved in political movement. The fact they were in
the street calling for Democracy shows the urgency of
the issue. Burma had a long story with military
dictatorship and struggle for democracy and these
monks were joined by civilians that grew up to 100,000
on the streets in just a few days. Under this regime,
this is not an easy event that can happen. It is the
first big demonstration since 1988, when the
protesters were put down by guns, ending up with
killing of 3,000 people.
The regime has been ruthless and inhumanitarian. They
were supposed to restore election. But when it came to
it, with the leader of Democratic party Aung San Suu
Kyi winning 82% of votes, they claimed the election
invalid and put Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest
for the most of the last 18 years. Aung San Suu Kyi
won a Nobel peace prize in 1991. I personally think
she has the most amazing face, that somehow expresses
her inner strength and clarity - I remember her face
from an exhibition 10 years ago when I didn’t now who
she was. I had thought I would like to age like her.
In the last three days, the military junta has
executed violent crack down on the non-violent
demonstrators with beating, arrest, tear gas, and
killing. They raided many monasteries, have taken away
monks into prisons, and also Aung San Suu Kyi into a
prison. The junta is said to have employed many mobs
to carry out the jobs, not to get international
attentions by moving the military too much. Many have
been injured and 13 are officially declared killed,
but the real figure is expected to be many times
higher. Few days ago, they cut down all the Internet
and mobile phone connections in the country to stop
information going out. You will find many video clips
in Youtube of the first three days of demonstrations,
and much less for the last three days.
Most countries including US and Europe and even other
Southeastern countries have expressed their disgust
and request to stop using violence to peaceful
protesters and to bring more democracy. They are
looking for economic means such as sanctions to give
pressure to the military regime. But what is seen as
the real key to be able to affect the regime
effectively is the neighboring countries, such as
China, India and Russia. China has to the main role
here. China so far only expressed their principle of
not interfering internal affairs of other countries
and did not really say anything to oppose Burmese
junta’s violence on the demonstrators, or the
anti-democratic ruling. They themselves are hardly
democratic in dealing with demonstrators, as you may
still remember the bloodshed in Tien An Mun square in
1990 in Beijing in a very similar situation. The fact
is that they have the biggest economic trade
relationship with Burma. Burmese military government
will have to respond to China's pressure, but China
also will not respond unless it has enough pressure
from the international communities that gives them
enough reasons to do so. All the countries and all the
organizations have come to the same understanding that
we need to move China.

NOVA is a ship sinking faster than the Titanic.

Nova is a most famous English school in Japan and recently it is also known that they have plenty of problems including labors' condition.
When I was working in the Irish Pub in Kyoto, I talked with some of people who work there and heard similar issues.

I used to work for branch, but most of my friends work
for MM currently and have for a long time (3-6 years).
To be honest, as shit as it is, unless you are rich
and DONT have to worry about money or work for a
while, you should go with option #2, i.e. stay home
and suck up the cost of a lost ticket.

me, i live here in Osaka as a teacher at a JHS (so
therefore I am alternately, safely employed and not
freaking out about not getting paid like all the NOVA
employees rightfully are) and hear about it/see it
everyday getting worse for my friends.
And if you do choose to come over, then you are faced
with about 5,000 suddenly unemployed people with way
more Japan experience competing with you for limited
jobs.
Also, finding a new job can sometimes be easy but it
takes a while and is a seasonal thing here in Japan,
with most jobs starting in March/April or
August/September. Most jobs favor native English
speakers who have experience working in japan and if
possible know a bit of Japanese.
Unless you have an MA degree or TEFL cert. to set
yourself apart, you may come here to find no job, so
therefore no money, and probably no apt to live as
NOVA is bankrupt and most NOVA apartments will be
gone.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But NOVA is NOT at
all a sure thing. I think that in this case that goes
for all NOVA teachers, both non-native and native
speakers in both MM center and branch offices.

(eikaiwa = English conversation school)
Most other eikaiwas only hire Native English
speakers--i.e. at least secondary and university in an
English speaking country for teaching English
positions.
Most eikaiwas (other than NOVA) don't hire
domestically, only in England, Canada, America, etc.
for English teaching positions but DO hire locally for
other languages. That said, I have no idea how
saturated the market is.
Many places that hire domestically only do it if you
ALREADY have a working visa. The Spanish teachers
working in my eikaiwa are either Japanese citizens or
married to Japanese people-- so they don't have visa
issues.
Most teaching jobs that hire locally are usually with
kids, such as private day care centers/ preschools
etc. The majority will want you to play with the kids
in English but many don't care if you are a native
speaker or not.
So... sorry to give you more bad news but if Nova has
not already sponsored your work visa, it's going to be
really hard to get a job. If you have your working
visa in hand and like kids... you could give it a try.

government punished them for not refunding students
who quit and other shady business practices. If the
